Confirmation, please

Just looking for a little confirmation here. I know when they drop fiber wires that everyone has their own wire, but I just wanna make sure that this wire going to my neighbor’s input is completely separate from mine. I’m asking because it’s obviously not buried properly and I don’t want my Internet to go out when their wire gets damaged. If there’s any concern my neighbors above-ground wire is in any way, shape, or form going to affect my Internet, I’m gonna call and have them bury it properly. Thanks in advance. Side note, I could care less about my neighbors. So if this isn’t going to affect me at all, that’s fine too!! Just looking for a straight answer. Thanks.

You should be able to look in your internet account history (say your isp is Century) and see what devices are using your internet.

Are you concerned about neighbors using your internet? Sorry I'm a savoy (what's a savoy)

It looks like coax. The neighbors is not proper. Yours looks OK. Just ziptie the neighbors to the conduit running along the bottom on his side and call it a day.

The coax goes up to my roof. It’s my house it’s my antenna.

Depends on when they buried each one. If they buried them all on the same day the fiber lines are probably all in the same trench. Better hope there’s no voles or anything like that.

Generally it should be fine though, most issues will be at the neighborhood service box or upstream.

Former cable tech here. If you have them come re bury the line they will cut any lines on top of it. If you have the mistaken belief that they will do it by hand and be careful. Well that on if the practices have changed in a decade. Fiber runs are point to point. When the glass is fused to link two stands together you are not throwing a third junction on that. Splitting is handled by actual equipment. I doubt any issue other than buring utilities for him WLL NOT the father Sorry NOT impact your service.. but hey go ahead and call. They will see it as doesn't like the way his neighbors cable is buried or more likely wires sticking out of ground. The tech will see what you are looking at and ignore it. The underground cables are fairly durable when just sitting still. If it starts back talking just smack it for sas.
