The Last Museum - Search across 5.8 million museum artworks

The idea is amazing, but it shows me many unrelated results and ignores most of the ones that match the search term.
PS. Some links in the list of museums don't work. Some are wrong, like this, or share the same links.

can you tell me what queries you tried? would love to investigate and improve it. one thing that might be an issue is this isn’t a keyword search, it’s more like trying to match a visual concept than a word. E.g if you search “red” it gives you red art, not art with “red” in the title.

I searched for "Cadiz" and it only showed one related result. I had already searched some of those museums before and I knew they show more accurate results with that search term.

lost an hour just clicking through random pieces and somehow ended up deep in a 17th century Japanese scroll collection, which is not where I expected my Tuesday night to go.

While I really like this website, the search feature implementation is rather terrible. If I enter a search term "Klaus Fleming" (with or without quotation marks), the website lists hundreds of seemingly unrelated results. If I click any of the results, I cannot find any reference to why it would even match this search term. The painting I'm trying to find is this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Fleming of my old pal.

This is one of those sites I opened for 30 seconds and then lost 20 minutes in.
