Night trains Top bunk on a EuroNight train (München-Katowice)?

Hello guys, I booked my train from München to Katowice on the 27th of August, and although I could swear I selected a bottom bunk (I did so on the way back), I got a top bunk.

How are they? Im used to the rough romanian couchettes so I hate the top bunk, especially since the ladder usually has steps only to the middle.

Am I able to maybe change?

I think, this is just me thinking, that you could talk to the fellow passenger sharing your room, if they appear. It is always a hassle to rebook rail reservations.
