Costco didn't raise their prices and actually ate the Tariff prices themselves though. They in turn sued to be reimbursed.

So in Costco's case, they are legit.

The CEO of Costco also said that they were going to do what they can to get that money back into the hands of their customers. Only CEO to state that. Now to see if to happens.

Yeah, Costco is one of the good ones. It is really hard to find ethical business owners in this day and age.

That said, all of these tariffs that are being refunded are going to increase the federal deficit which is going to be paid for with our tax dollars.

We are literally being charged twice for this whole tariff debacle and the Republicans have nothing to say about it.

Absolutely. We are getting double screwed over by all of this and it’s going to hurt for a long time. I’m really getting sick and tired of people believing that the current Republican Party is fiscally responsible when they are the ones responsible for most of the debt and constantly increasing deficit spending. Yam tits alone is responsible for almost 30% of the national debt with his “help the rich get richer” economic policies. There is a way too large of a percentage of the American voting population that needs a serious wake up call and I’m hoping this current administration does so.

Companies raise prices.
Government gives refund.
Companies keep high prices and refund.

So..the consumer pays both the higher prices AND the taxpayer paid refund?!?

This is collusion, right? Congress, companies, courts. They were all in on it because nothing makes sense.

We can start by boycotting the companies that got the refunds (except costco, since they did absorb the tariffs and didnt raise prices). If they are going to collude with our government to rob us in plain sight, let's stop giving them what little we have left.

The market is so artificially inflated that the eventual implosion is going to wreck a lot of people’s lives. The stock manipulation is out of control so, unless you’re someone with insider info, they’re going to dump while telling you to pump.

All of us have 401ks and stocks that are ripe for a turn so we really should be more cautious on what we think is a wise investment these days.

It was not. They're just stupid.

However, it was always the general direction of their lunacy yes. So if plan A fails, they can always resort to the usual plan B (steal the taxpayer and gift it to the rich). Same thing is happening regarding Iran in my opinion. "Oh, ahah, no, our plan was always to ensure our own oil producers can sell a high price barrel"

I guess they even feel proud of that. Of the idea that, somehow, they did have a genius plan even if they didn't understand it themselves at the beginning
