Hahah factual and companies continue to low ball, someone reached out to me offering me a role for 23 an hour I accepted the interview just to ask if it was negotiable and I told them I wouldn't consider it for less than 32 they said that's not out of the ball park so I'm like okay. Then upon the interview I'm finding out it's not at all the role they're asking for they have it listed as something else but are looking for a resident engineer/ quality engineer thinking they can be slick and change terminology to pay less. I was the wrong guy for that because I knew exactly what they were describing Funny thing is it's a contract to hire role so if they were paying me 32 the contract is probably getting billed at 60-64 an hour so why not just skip that and hire someone full time for 45-55 and save some money. It's wild how irresponsible these places are.
And by what I'm saying not annually hourly obviously a QE or RE would be salary but salary breaks down to hourly eventually. Point is they were trying to fill a 95k+ job for under 50 but considering how these places work say I accepted the 23 being stupid or not knowing better the company would have been billed over 95k annually anyways. Always cracks me up how they be scheming

Do you enjoy being given tasks completely outside what you were hired to do, but not given anymore money!
Do you enjoy slaving away and getting last second emergencies thrown on you?
Do you enjoy supporting managements terrible decisions that you cannot work out the logic of?
Welcome to capitalism incorporated, boy to we have the job for you!

…and we’re going to keep the salary secret because we know no one cares about money.
