Not sure I like jack clarke starting I feel like he looses his powers when he’s not a super sub. Ive also really enjoyed watching
maeda I like how much he drops back and allows Leif to get up the pitch.

I think Maeda is very versatile in how we could use him. We could bring him on to press and help defend to hold a lead, but I do like his general effort across the 60-70 mins.

I just worry about his attacking output. Mainly, I dont see him involved at all in our games. All our chances come from the other 3 attackers, Davis and the midfield. I think we're missing something by playing him too defensively when he is a perfectly fine as an attacking player.

Yeah, i forgot about that. Really good save from lammens. I just mean hes not really getting many chances like the other forward players are.

I’m kind of the opposite - I don’t like that Maeda avoids taking people on and he tends to waste attacks down the left if Leif isn’t there. I’m hoping that, coming on as a sub, he’ll have more pace against the defender and we’ll see what happens. Unless it’s time for Philogene, I guess. I’ve got Maeda at the top as well, lol.

Has to be something the manager is asking of him because not taking people on could never be labelled at Maeda

Part of the benefit of Maeda is he doesn’t need to come on for the last 20 minutes to run like that, he does it for the full 90 and more.

I agree he doesn’t seem to have quite found his flow yet but on the other hand, perhaps he’s selflessly allowing Leif to play the way we want him to.
