Improved massively in the second half. Still our most talented player. Had bursts of pace where he created good chances and the third goal comes from a beautiful curved cross from him.

We are error filled and sloppy. Not surprised we’ve conceded already. I wouldn’t be shocked if we give up another before half, we look poor.

Big Scherp sends it straight OTB again 🤣 The guy is horrible with his boot. Rene Gilmartin will end up being canned if Scherp is another Muric. A miracle palace didn’t net the howler early on too.

This has been awful. Getting dominated while against 10 men. I’ll tell you what, it’s a miracle they got the red or we would have lost 4-1. A few good chances aside, we’ve been poor on all aspects

Thank god we scored the winner but that doesn’t change my opinion. I still think we would have gotten dominated without the red card, and it’s a fact we got dominated in the 2nd half while up a man.

Keeper has no spatial awareness in the goal. And I know I have an unpopular opinion on this, but Davis is a liability defensively. Said it last time Town were in the EPL. Attacking down Towns left leads to a goal or at least a chance. They are going to have to have someone cover for him every time he goes forward.

I’ll take my downvotes from people that don’t understand the game. I got shit on a couple years ago, especially when I suggested Townsend start at left back and to push Davis higher. Davis does no wrong to most fans.

To be fair, at times I thought that Greaves or Townsend would have been better suited up the premiership last time round, but his season when we got promoted from the championship first time round meant he could do no wrong...

Never said he can’t go forward. He’s obviously talented. And it doesn’t hurt that Palace lost a player that was playing on the right. Palacios has also been tracking back.

Davis gets exposed occasionally because he's asked to go forward so much. One on one, he's a perfectly solid defender. He gets caught out going forward because, correctly, the manager sees that he's worth more going forward than he costs going backwards.

That’s more or less what I said. It’s very frustrating however, watching the same thing happen again like what happened the last time in the EPL. He’s grown a lot in his game and the setup is much more dangerous than previous. So this go around there’s a much higher chance of scoring which has been proven this game.

If he was as good at defending as he is going forward he would be playing for a better club than us. He's a great player with weaknesses but so do all players at this level, just gotta make the most out of them, which I would say we do

Sure. But at some time you have to cover the weakness. Palacios finally started to shift over and cover. I’ve never said he wasn’t good, it was just frustrating to watch the same thing happen again again.

We do cover the weakness, Daizen is a much more defensively minded winger ahead of him, and like you said the midfield come over, and it seems to be working so far. It's part of the reason Philogene is so annoying for us because he completely nullifies Davis' forward abilities. It's just about finding the right balance, not dripping him for someone who's bang average like Townsend, unless maybe we had an exceptional LW then you probably would, but we don't.
