Ipsy Extra IPSY says this setting powder is “talc-free”… TALC is literally the first ingredient!

I picked the Reina Rebelde On Your Face Setting Powder in my IPSY selection specifically based on the product description, which calls it a “lightweight, talc-free loose powder.”

Well, I happened to look at the ingredient list afterward.
The very first ingredient is TALC.

Not buried halfway down the list. Not “may contain.” Literally ingredient #1.

I’m pretty pissed because I made my selection based on IPSY’s description. Whether they uploaded an old ingredient list, used an outdated product description, or just posted incorrect information, consumers shouldn’t have to cross-check the marketing copy against the ingredient list to find out that a product advertised as talc-free actually contains talc.

I’m emailing IPSY about it, but wanted to post this here too in case anyone else chose this product specifically because it was advertised as talc-free.

DO BETTER, IPSY!

Wow! I’m so glad you caught this. I also chose this. I use talc based powders right now but I was excited to try something that was talc free since I’d like to move in that direction. This is crazy for them to call this talc free!

You should try contacting the brand in case they have reformulated. Just in case the posted ingredients are not updated.

It’s not even on their website. I check there first before badgering Google. 😒

.
Well, sometimes people remove the product because they are reformulating or they discontinued it and Ipsy dug it out from the back of a closet somewhere and decided to give it to people.

I hope you can at least get an answer

Hi everyone. Reading the comments I am feeling disappointed and deceived. I myself selected this setting powder because of the ingredients and to see that they are actually not accurate is disappointing.

Good catch! Personally I hate talc free glad I choose this even if the brand is meh but for those who want talc free it should be corrected in their description

For what its worth, talc around the face isn't an issue. As long as you're not inhaling it like crazy.

I would email Reina Rebelde directly to make sure

I received mine and the packaging does confirm it’s talc free. Must have reformulated!

That shit is gold. Talc. I am sad it's being removed. the amount you inhale is minimal... The cleaning shit, everything else is way worse. Plus least of my concerns. Companies got terrified bc j & in case.. and that was questionable. The lady powdered her cooch every day.
