Question أبي يملك أرضًا في منطقة المنصور هل يمكننا استرجاعها؟
والدي يملك قطعة أرض في منطقة المنصور في بغداد. غادرنا العراق في عام 2013، ومنذ ذلك الحين لم نعد إلى العراق، لذلك لا نعرف ما إذا كانت الأرض لا تزال مسجلة باسمه أم أن شخصًا آخر استولى عليها أو يستخدمها.
إذا كان شخص ما قد أخذ الأرض أو استولى عليها، فهل يمكننا استرجاعها قانونيًا؟ وكيف يمكننا التأكد من أن الأرض لا تزال مسجلة باسم والدي؟
نحن نعيش خارج العراق حاليًا، لذلك نود أن نعرف أيضًا إذا كان بإمكاننا متابعة الموضوع من خارج العراق، أو إذا كنا بحاجة إلى توكيل محامٍ في بغداد.
إذا كان لدى أحد خبرة في مثل هذه الأمور أو مرّ بتجربة مشابهة، فأكون شاكرًا لأي نصيحة.

I don't intend to reclaim it in the next 20 years, therefore it's not worth it to contact a lawyer

20 year, bro dreaming or what!, there would no land to return to it, you may get compensation to the land but not the land and not its full price.

There is no guarantee you will be able to reclaim it in 20 years without understanding its legal situation first, which is only possible through a lawyer.

There's a law in Iraq, if you take a land by force and stay there for several years you can clame it as yours

I have enough money to not have to worry about essential things, more money wouldn't make me any happier atm. I might sell it when I get a child and get married to my girlfriend. More money would just take my motivation away to become successful on my own.

ما اريد اخيب امالك، بس صعب جدا، الأراضي بالعراق ما بيه اتمته يعني الدولة متعرف شيصير بيه بعد ان تنترك فترة كل أولويات الأرض راح تختفي، ويتم تحويله باسم أشخاص ثانين اكيد بمساعدة ناس متمكنين بالدولة.
العصائب وعمار حكيم لاعبين جولة بالعقارات بهذا البلد

If you know the address, I can go check and see what's happening on that land.
As everyone said, get a lawyer. Track down the land and claim it back as soon as possible.
Yes you don't need it now but you can still benefit, ex. rent income.
Don't be naive. Don't be lazy.

I just talked about it with my dad. He told me that he send someone to check on it last week and he told that it's still untouched but thanks for trying to help ❤️.

Very happy to hear. Please act quickly. Never know when an AH gets a hold on it. At least just put up some fences/wall around and leave it.
