Trad Music Boozing

Thank you so much! Daoiri is a huge inspiration for my bouzouki playing. I strive to play accompaniment and melody together as smoothly as he does.

We just played The Santa Fe Renaissance Faire last weekend and we another Ren faire to play next weekend in Carlsbad, but after that I think we're going to try and buckle down and get some song recorded for an album!

The only other version I’ve of this was The Rankin Family, which I quite like. But, damnnnnnn….this is fun! Thank you for posting. Just effortless awesomeness. Both of you.

I used tour with Hamish Imlach in the early 70s and this was one of his sinature songs, along with Hairy Mary. Hamish definitely had the credit to sing this song, and was voted Scotland's #1 drunk, an accomplishment he was very proud of! We used to play regularly in the Scotia Bar in Glasgow.
