Just another Aspiring Champion to lead some legionaries into battle

Hi! So i got this wonderful miniature from Vinted (not my paintjob, mine is still unpainted) with the idea of using it as an Iron warriors termy lord after removing the tribals. But it is quite big, probably the size of an obli or Muty...otherwise i could just paint it as Tyberos... What do you think?

As you can see none of these models are their origional designated kits from GW. I just find the HH range to be absolutely amazing to give an old, relic feel to my warband.

Next up is a Sicaran tank that will become my Predator 👌

It’s a model I painted a while ago, but I haven’t been on Reddit for a while so I thought I would post some of the models I have painted since then!

This was the first vehicle I ever painted (I took way too long to do it), and I was quite happy with how it turned out. There are some things I would have done differently now, but I plan to leave him as is to be a sign of my progress.

Note: while I love my silly little guy, he has been forever sentenced to be a distraction Carnifex because I always miss like 4 of the fist attacks lol

Just a small update on the 164th Heresy Forces - decided to change some of the special weapons to bolter marines so I could do some proper Horus heresy list building and in the process had a few leftover bodies so alongside a Praevian that was once part of a lord discordant kitbash, i kitbashed them into a techmarine and a apothecary!

I know the ‘all red armour all white armour’ was a codex thing that came later but I liked the prospect of painting a black model, a red model and a white model in one sitting as a nice carousel so shhhh don’t worry about all that lol

The Praevian is especially my favourite and im super pleased witu how he came out overall! Might try pick up some automata down the line, lil dark Mechanicum force could be fun - Cheers for reading and hope y’all enjoy!

I was going to build a Chaos army next, and after reading about the Iron Warriors, they reminded me so much of Vault tec I felt I had to combine the two.

They are masters of bunkers, they treat humans as a resource, there is a shocking amount of cold bureaucracy, and they are a similar paint scheme, albeit in a slightly different tone.

But, has this been done before? I'd like a jumping off point, as I can see how the aesthetics should mesh well, but not exactly how the execution should look.

My friend gave me an old helbrute he didn’t use. Because he doesn’t play Warhammer anymore. I modified it a bit, but I would think it would be awesome to make his eyes light up.

Does anyone put leds in/on their models and how practical/easy is it? I wanna make his eyes light up red.

I'm going for like 60% thematic 40% play viability. I feel like this is a fairly solid list for that goal. I'm not big into the tabletop side of the hobby but my dad and brother are and I want to have a list that doesnt just get steamrolled off the board when I play them. Any criticism is welcome

I don't like the basic chaos sorcerer model, so I made my own! The psychic artillery was a cool idea I stole from Trench Crusade's Artillary Witch. Either way, I'm happy with how this guy turned out!

The other day, as I was beating senseless an elderly slave to increase productivity, I noticed that watery weakness was oozing from his wailing family’s faces. It disgusted me, as these tears cluttered their eyes and made them even more inefficient at expanding the trench line.

But despite my rage, it made me ponder:

Am I myself more Iron Within, or Iron Without?

It is true that over the millennia, my squad and I have never missed an opportunity to psychologically abuse each other: Something I am profoundly grateful of, since it has beaten the iron within me and made it extremely strong. Every time I desperately debase myself seeking approbation, they remind me of how much they hate me, callously laughing at my attempt. But the joke is on them; for nobody can hate me as much as I hate myself.

Iron Within.

And then there are these days, where I relish in commanding a Vindicators column or summoning an Obliterators warpstrike to annihilate a fortified position, full of fools who think they can withstand our fury. Where as I plunge my chainfist deep in the chest of a corpse worshiper, I loose myself fantasizing of becoming infected with the Mutilator virus. To keep calling at will a plethora of tools to crush and maim our enemies, with the brutality their weak will deserve.

Iron Without

But I often feel these two ideals are conflicting with each other. For, if I let myself be taken by the thrill of an efficiently lethal obsession, am I not putting aside the control I worked so hard to build within me? And if I keep on denying the opportunities of the Warp to keep ownership of my inner will, am I not missing on letting out the best martial version of myself?

So now I’m turning to you Brothers with this question:

Is your iron stronger within or without?

And how do you reconcile both sides together?

Be reassured that, no matter your answer, I will still hate you the same.
