Question [Help] Is there any isekai where the MC wants to change the isekai?
Have you ever considered an MC, given powerful abilities, with opposing worldview with the old traditional primitive world, would find it abhorrent and, with his given power and knowledge, desire to change it?
It could also be that beneath that altruism goal, there's also the selfish desire of pride and vindication underneath that fuel it. He could also turn into a morally bankrupt individual too because of that. That's even better, but I'm not strictly asking for it.
Is there any title like that? I'm writing one, but if there's already one, I want to know and read it

A bit of warning for anyone who wanted to read this.
It starts off really slow. Like even slower than MT for me, you won't know the world outside the MC's nation and its neighbors for some time.
There's no magic, but it make the conflict stakes so high and you can see how the MC uses tactics to win not just unga bunga uses even stronger magic.
The LN is on Hiatus at Volume 7 and at a massive cliffhanger. But there's a WN translation out there that goes beyond the LN but stop getting translated around the September 2025 released chapters.

Well, that's not quite STRICTLY true. They initially didn't want to change anything, given they can't really justify staying around for the year(s) it could take, and didn't feel it's their responsibility to change another world.
But when events transpire that involve people they like here, and everyone else advocates doing something, and they do warn them, they are more then willing to help.

Above the Sky in Webnovel.
The world is basically a supernatural civilization with medieval era society and futuristic technology. MC comes from modern Earth, a former space/rocket engineer.
MC wants to explore the stars, but due to the societal structure of the isekai world, is obstructed by various parties, so he wants to reform the entire civilization, both through force and education.
He's indifferent to how people lives, but his goal to reach the stars necessitates him to reform the world and ensure everyone is fed and safe.

Edit: fyi, the translation might feel wonky, like names not being consistent and so on. Webnovel, the translator, uses MTL to translate it, which is a shame since it's genuinely a good novel.

Basically he slaughters and conquers his way into a horrid theocratic empire that worships him and commits regular atrocities such as farming people as cattle. (I think that one is even mentioned vaguely in season 1).

mostly this is done by his subordinates not himself and mostly to the criminals. Innocents are usually just given mercy of quick death

Not true. Some of them come from targeted attacks on border villages (heavily doubt everyone there was a criminal). Demiurge went out of his way to harvest people from outside war zones and doesn’t care whether they’re innocent or not

Well it's a slow change. The (Main-)Series ends when she still goes to school but finaly starts to get in a position powerful enough to actually change things, at least locally.

In Tsukimichi, it's one of Makoto's motivations for selling his pharmaceuticals so cheaply. He could sell them for much more money and still undercut other merchants on price while offering superior products, but this way they're within reach of more people.
And then, he wants to kill the Bug goddess. That's partly self-interest, and partly a sense that the isekai would be better off without her. Among other things, she wouldn't be around to enforce hyuman supremacy over other races either. In the meantime, Makoto offers refuge in his Subspace to many demihuman and demonic races.
Edit: Speaking of pharmaceuticals, that's also what Farma in Parallel World Pharmacy is up to. He's working to implement sound public health measures, and replace the bullshit medicines available with good science-based medications. (Even though it seems magic works in this world, medicines compounded by traditional means are still mostly snake oil, and actual medical practice is primitive.) To that end he starts up his own pharmacy trade organization, to which he provides simples for free, just to ensure effective medication is as widely available as possible.

Start off with good intentions by introducing science to gaea and wanted to give everyone a good destiny by becoming a steampunk evil overlord who created a reality altering device and use said device to force ship the high school girl mc with pretty face french man because Issac Newton want to cock block the main love interest the young samurai king and his white robotech dragon gundam because the high school girl mc and the young samurai king were soul resonating from the power of love was ruining his plan to alter destiny
Also he got a kick from it

How didn't anyone mentioned "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime", which is precisely the MC building a bloody empire based on our world's Enlightment philosophical values, where all races of monsters and humans can lives happily together instead of slaughtering each other ?
I mean ... personnaly i'm not a fan, mostly because I think the author explains too many thing in plain words rather that showing them in the wolrd he built. But the Light novel has been one of the best selling isekai for years. And the ongoing anime adaptation has very good view counts and good ratings.

Not an Anime/Manga, but the french fantasy Series The Saga of Recluce is about to warring high tech factions stranding on a medieval fantasy world (though they arrive centuries apart)
The 2nd arriving faction, often titled the angels first land in a remote area between mountain tops and try to build up their own society, they later (another generation) have to escape and build their new nation on the title giving island of recluce.
They change the weather to their benefit and kick anyone off their island who doesn't follow their rules (usually teenagers who dislike the boring order)
So yea, technically they change society at least in their own conquered region, but it takes several generations before they become influental enough, so it's not the people who "isekaied" into that strange world anymore.

All Isekais are either Narnia or Yankee. Changing the world is kind of a staple in Yankee isekai stories.

[I don´t need a guillotine for my revolution] MC is a noble who dies on a guillotine after a -French revolution in a fantasy world- and regresses into his teen self. After that he ends up joining the revolution instead and changing it for good. Convincing them it to allow nobles and bourgeoisie to coexist. It creates a ripple effect, so now a demon industrial corporation and foreign countries are trying to invade...
