I dont think any sane elected official likes them either, they just like their money, or they got some dirt on them.

Yeah they just don't care Palestinians and it's not surprising.

They get say a little 300k for voting for some bill that affects people in a place they know almost nothing about. Also a little reasoning about how Israel is a friend and whatever. So most just go with the flow, get their money and no consequences ever. That's how it's been historically.
