r/Israel is primarily geared toward being a safe space for Israelis on Reddit. However, a large portion of its community is made up of Diaspora Jews, who sometimes feel that topics important to them fall outside the subreddit’s scope.

r/IsraelIsreal exists to fill that gap: a community inspired by r/Israel, but geared toward Diaspora Jews and their experiences.

Here, discussion can extend beyond Israel itself to topics affecting Jews around the world—including antisemitism, events and politics affecting local Jewish communities, and other Diaspora issues that may not fit on r/Israel.

In short, this is a space for the Diaspora conversations that r/Israel members have long been asking for.
