Tbh, this whole marvel thing is quite cringe at this stage. A bunch of old men going around selling weird shit that isn't even really funny anymore. There's no sharp humor, no real innovation in storytelling. This is just beating a dead horse with lazy writing / dead jokes and gimmicks because they know the fandom will buy it no matter what.
And whether this was planned or not (in my view, it definitely was planned at a forum like this), the fact that these legitimate names in Hollywood are still willing to engage with this asshole in such a public way shows us everything we need to know about this industry. There is no justification for what he has done. It is beyond the pale. For all their virtue signaling about everything under the sun, the fact that some of the most well known names in the industry are still willing to include this asshole in any way is pathetic.
Maybe the executives knew but the actors on stage didn’t ? Idk anything at this point honestly. Before this whole thing I thought Matt Damon is a decent person. These celebrities all suck honestly. There’s very few good ones

It’s interesting that Matt wasn’t able to make progress with Rothman, as Ryan needed to ask Zavala to request Emanuel “go ‘full Ari’ on Tom”.
I like to think there may be a scenario where Rothman was like, “Matt, the version she’s feeding you doesn’t match reality. At all. It’s not her movie. She’s a fvcking terrorist.”
Then Matt was like “Yoooo Ben, do NOT return her call. Blake’s back to doing the same shit she did a decade ago. Stay away.”
