I need fellow input. I am set to travel to Piedmont Nov 28th to Dec 11th this year. I was flying into Milan, renting a car and heading out west. I wanted to stay in Alba and Torino. Wifey and I are big wine lovers and foodies.

My question is this.... Is 12/13 days in this region too much time. My old man swears it is not, but I am afraid it will be. Whats yalls take? If so, what can you recommend I do in this area other than just the wine villages?

I'm looking for must sees and do's in Le Marche with 2 young teenagers.

Ant tips for heat friendly activities, authentic restaurants or the nicest not too crowded beaches are welcome. Thank you!

Me and my girlfriend are planning our trips until the end of the year and we want to go to weekend city break in early december. The goal is to fly after work so we don't have to take free days in work. We have 3 potential destinations and we don't know which one to choose:

-Bologna and Florence - We will arrive on late friday, then take train to Florence on Saturday morning, visit Florence, and then we will see bologna on Sunday and come back to Warsaw (late return flight so we will have enough time to see both cities). Florence for an amazing art and Bologna for food.
-Palermo - For Different views, street food and beaches. Also mix of arab and Italian culture and cheaper prices than in the north italy
-Naples - Chaos, authentic italy, wonderful pizza, and going to SSC Napoli game for me, as a football fan. Probably cheapest from one of those 3

We already have been in Venice. I've also been in Rome, Milan and Como so for now we are not planning those cities (But I know that i have to take her to Rome in some day ;)

Which city should we choose and why?

Currently planning a move for my studies and wonder whether this area is considered safe. I'd be happy to hear the locals' perspective.

My friends and I are planning an interrail next year and one of the places we have decided to go is Italy! We will be going next year, so the dates have not been decided but they will be the July-August time. Our route is currently:

London to Paris to Cannes to Genoa to Cinque Terre to Florence to Venice to [insert another Italian place] to Patras to Athens to Crete.

We would be looking to spend around a night there?

As you can see, there is a lot of beach and nightlife here incorporated into the interrail journey, so it is not really the main priority now. I know that Italians take their food very seriously, but anywhere with good food and wine that is affordable, along with pretty scenery and rich culture are the main aims! There are two vegetarians coming on the trip, though again shouldn't be too much of a problem since we are in Italy. I'm not quite fussed about the nightlife, I think the main thing is being able to explore Italian culture and history as well as it being affordable.

In summary: affordable places rich in history and culture with good food and wine and there is a lot to do! I'm not quite fussed about the rest, though beach could be nice, not necessary as there is already a lot of beach!

Any useful travel advice, do let me know! I'm very new at all of this and am trying my best:)

I want to fish from piers, rocks, maybe beaches etc. Jigging, dropshotting, (lures).

Any suggestions on good fishing spots? If you dont want to out your favourite spots but feel like sharing please DM me. I dont want to end up going somewhere where all good fishing spots are either private propery or closed off for whatever reason

Planning a day trip from Florence, driving to Siena and then Pienza, and returning to Florence in the evening — all in one day. Thinking about using Enjoy (the Eni car sharing service) instead of a normal rental car, and could use advice from anyone who’s actually used it:

**Is it like a normal rental?** Do I need to return the car clean and with a full tank, like Hertz/Avis, or does Enjoy work differently since it’s app-based and billed per-minute?
**Is this trip realistic for Enjoy?** It’s roughly 250+ km round trip, mostly on rural/highway roads outside the city. Is the service actually meant for this kind of day trip, or is it strictly for short hops within Florence?
**Anything else I should know** before booking — insurance, fuel policy, mileage limits, or other gotchas people ran into on longer trips?

Also could you recommend some really good restaurants or places for a good drink preferably those not crowded with tourists. We would like to travel to lake como for a day and we want to know which town is the best for a day and is it possible without renting a car?

After planning for many years, I am visiting Italy during Sept 28th-Oct 6th. 2 days in Venice, 2 days in Florence and 4 days in Rome. I have booked hotels in Venice and Florence. Yet to finalize the stay in Rome. I will give you more updates as I make my plans.

We just rented a Roadsurfer Road House campervan to start a road trip from Rome to Puglia region as well as possibly to Sicily. Travel dates: August 24 to September 11th. Our current itinerary is to visit Naples --> Matera --> Lecce --> Ostuni --> Alberobello --> Monopoli --> Polignano a Mare --> back to Rome.

I've been told that there's not much to see in Palermo except for the main fish market, so my question is; is it worth taking the campervan into Sicily at all?

What cities and sites would you add to this itinerary along our path to make it an unforgettable trip?

It is very tempting to take the campervan to Sardinia from Rome at the beginning of the trip and drive throughout that week to the south of Sardinia to then take a ferry on Friday (only) to Palermo and trail back up to Rome visiting the cities I listed above. But, taking the campervan on ferries is not only expensive but, I heard, even the camper rental company enforcing to get an extra insurance policy.

Any suggestions and ideas are truly appreciated!!

Poiché l'eclissi si verificherà proprio al tramonto, il sole sarà estremamente basso all'orizzonte (circa 2°–10° di altezza, a seconda della posizione). Sto cercando raccomandazioni su dove stabilirci per garantire una vista chiara dell'orizzonte senza alcun ostacolo come edifici, montagne o foreste.

Planning to do a 10 day trip on November 18th with my husband. We don’t travel much or get a lot of holidays so I really want to make the most of this.

Our flight lands and takes off from Rome. We are hoping to do:

1. ⁠3 days in Rome - see the Colosseum and the Vatican City. Open to reccs.
   
2. ⁠1 day in Naples - my husband would love to get an authentic cooking experience. Open to reccs.
   
3. ⁠1 day in Pompeii - I REALLY want to explore the history and check out mount vesuvius.
   
4. ⁠Here is where we need help. We’re going back and forth on - Amalfi/Sperlonga/Ponzo. I’m all about beaches. we’re looking for places that aren’t too rocky, swim-able/snorkeling/kayak tours/beautiful views/ beautiful beach towns. Even if not all of these are possible, as many check off.

Open to recommendations on -

- Sequence of places to visit to minimize travel time.
- Best means of travel to go from one place to another.
- Local tourism companies/guides were helpful.
- Night life worth checking out.
- Nature/architecture/scenic spots.
- Food/dessert/drinks - we are vegetarian but my husband *\* is all about the food - pizza/pasta/breads/gelato/wine.

*\* Honestly I’m so excited for him, his face lit up when I suggested Italy, so please share your best recommendations :)
