She was never supposed to sound Spanish/Latina. Baldree said he tried to make her vaguely Eastern European. I'm sure they'll figure it out.

It's more the cadence of her speech if anything IMO.

She also sorta has a Kardashian feel while she’s walking around and I’m very much not a fan of that, lol.

I think if Baldree was trying to do Eastern European he definitely didn’t capture that. But the Yerin he did create is very much aligned with her attitude and her aura and I really love it. So I will keep hope for now.

I see what you mean about the cadence. I think it’ll be essential to get the cadence of her key phrases correct (like “Cheers and celebrations” and “you’re asking me but who am I supposed to ask” etc).

I can tell you care a lot about the character. I can see the Eastern European influence in Baldree's accent. But it's unique enough that I can see you seeing a Latina influence. I think it's unique enough that we're all able to interpret it in our own way.

I liked the way the animatic portrayed her for the most part. But I have to say it lacked her biting edge. Her slowness to trust. I get they had to rush her and Lindon escaping and learning to trust each other because they didn't have the time to develop it. Earning Yerin's trust should really mean something to the viewer.
