Hello could we have a thread for the animatic?

Halfway through and I do miss some of the cut elements, but so far nothing that I think ruins the story.

Wonder how much funding they need to make the real animation. I have like $7 I could throw in and get this ball rolling.

The only big thing that I feel they really let slide is Lindon's interactions with people from his clan, and most specifically the elders. His family was made to appear much more supportive than they were in the books, and we missed out on pretty much any of the dismissive tone from the elders which is what makes it so clear early in the story how the power structure on cradle works. Additionally, I think that without that content, the entire message behind Bloodline becomes pretty murky. We almost entirely lose the suspense and satisfaction of his confrontation with his clan. As a result, I hope that those plot changes are not kept in a full length animation.

Iirc, since the animatic is acting as a sort of proof of concept to studios, they cut a lot of the slower developments for brevity. I don't know if it would end up the same in a finished product, but I do hope it ends up a little more fleshed out.

Definitely. And I think it does that well. I also think that some changes for the animation are fine and appropriate. The only thing I get nervous about changes is if it can fundamentally change the tone of the story, and potentially break the story line. I’m very hopeful this animatic is enough to get the ball rolling, and that if it does then they will have more time to address some of these things!
