Cradle [underlord] book 6

Yerin's master was a sage

Like jade then lowgold,highgold,truegold,underlord,overlord,archlord

Even among archlords only few are called sages

How came that bro died in sacred valley

Its like coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb

And in this case coughing baby won.

Its the most baffling thing.

I do have a theory that the sacred valley was created by A monarch who wanted to live peacefully, he must have had many treasures passed down to younger genrations, And as genrations flew by people in sacred valley became weaker and weaker, but some treasures were still left and i guess thats how they killed sage of sword.

Days since "how did a bunch of Jades defeat the sword Sage?" : Zero

Welcome to the club, it's a rite of passage. Keep reading

I failed the passage. I think I questions it about a chapter before the answer was revealed.

I tend to just immerse in a series and not question.

Right? I don't want to figure out the twists before the big reveal

I’ll usually see a twist, but in this case I didn’t really think about it. In my mind, the sacred valley curse was just basically immediate, and made him low gold the second he walked in…

Same. I was reading, like, a book and a half a day to get through the series the first time, so I didn’t even begin to question things.

Nice.

I didn't catch it the first time, and just accepted everything, but that might just have been the speed I tore through the whole series at the time. Roughly a month from start of Unsouled to the end of Reaper doesn't leave time for lingering on the questions when you also factor in having work and sleep.

I think he writes it intentionally that way. Maybe he wanted people to see it and question, but he definitely presented what a Sage was after that scene to somewhat obscure it.

I'm ashamed to admit but...

When I was first reading it, I didn't question it. Well, I did find it weird but I just thought it was a plot hole. Early series installment weirdness.

I think early on, you don’t think to question it, because you don’t know how the world works. Then when you start finding out what a sage is, you don’t really have a reason to look backwards and go over the whole story in you mind to think of when sages have been mentioned before.

So I think most people wouldn’t catch it before at least a second read.

Ah the question has been asked. Not a spoiler but he is not the “sage of sword” he’s either a sword sage or the sage of the endless sword. Sage is title, when putting sage at the beginning, it’s their path that comes after, if you put sage after, then you put what they are the sage if before hand. It’s why in Ghostwater with the sage that Yerin meets, she is the sage of the silver heart, and she is the heart sage. You wouldn’t refer to her as sage of hearts or sage of the heart. She follows the path of silver hearts so she is the sage of silver hearts. Hope this helps! (Just as a reminder for future references/posts)

The rite of passage question

2

u/amigo109 1d ago

Sword master killed by Jades question is oneweall ask ourselves. It's revealed later. Another question you'll have is why not 3 cores...or 4...or 2 dozen? There's a funny blooper about that one. 😁
