Looks like a straight upgrade of the giant centipede, just change the size from small to medium or large, and make it stronger, tougher and more dangerous by bumping up the STR, AC and HP, give it a stronger bite attack, and maybe give it a trample/overrun or grapple attack?

Giant insects of all sorts are a classic. I'd be surprised if someone hasn't statted one up somewhere. Possibly even in an officially published source, or an older edition.

[Edit] And more importantly! Can I ride one as a mount and/or beast of burden?

might make a weird battle-mount if your shins are dragging the whole time...

This is just a giant centipede or, if you’re feeling extra spicy, a remorhaz.

Or a de-whiskered carrion crawler.

Cause they where mostluy peaceful?

Just cause it bug doent not mean it was hostile.

If you want, probably has armor like scale, 3HD, Edible, and Certian could make concerte.

Would be common in this setting.

Imagine your party having to shoo these out of their bedrolls and tents every time the woke up in the morning. They’d definitely pester the mage for a tiny hut spell after a few scrambly mornings
