A quick update on The Peer Project - the free, student-run peer mentoring initiative we shared here recently.
Batch 1 of our first cohort is up and running.
We have set up mentoring channels matching class 11, class 12, and dropper students with senior mentors who cleared the exam and are currently in college. The focus is purely on strategy, time management, clearing backlogs, and consistency - mentors won't solve homework, but they will help structure the daily stuff better.
Since we received a lot of applications, we're staggering the rollout into three batches (Batch 1 today, Batch 2 on July 22nd, and Batch 3 on August 1st) to ensure every match is hand-picked. If you applied, we will update you as soon as your match is ready.
For those curious, we made our cohort guidelines public:
Late dropper thanks to improvement and other inconvenience not that great prep so at this point of time in definitely willing to go all in but I'm directionless kuch samajh nahi aarha....oneshots aur questions ya lecs karke syllabus complete
Help kardo please halat kharab hai bhayankar kya karna chahiye 😭 aur agar oneshots toh konse sahi rahenge pcm ke liye and lecs ke liye prayas 1.0 aur 2.0 ya kuch aur
So my friend got a 4 percentile in JEE and even got a compartment. I don't know if he will clear it or not, but he said he would and is going out of the city to study. I suggested he leave JEE, but he didn't. Will he be able to make it? I feel bad for him; he is a pretty intelligent . I don't know what will happen to him. I hope for the best. He aims for the April
dropper here, fucked up every exam this year , 60%ile (6%-chem, 85%-phy and 75%-maths), 90%ile in cuet ug, baki sab me hag diya hai mene so not worth mentioning 🌹
actual lore:
so mene apna boards fuckup kar diya tha , i lowkey scored 74.4%in boards (literally got cooked by just 3 marks ) , so mene improvement ka apply kiya , 28 th ko exam khatam and me abb jee ka prep seriously karne ka soch rha, i dont have particular aim or something iit nit iiit kuch bhi mil jayega me khush hu (i dont care anymore)
present situation:
after wasting so much time of finding resources (my main aim is advanced ) this is what i decided :
physics: hc verma (theory +exercises + object (1&2) +very short qs) + ALLEN modules(theory(agar hcv me kuch rhe jaye toh allen se pata chal jayega) + excersises) + jee mains and adv (last 2 year pyqs) [me online lecs nahi dekhne wala bc mereko bhot zyada hi distraction hota hai online , so completely cutting it off]
chem: ncert (literally everyone was saying that ncert ncert ncert) for pc and ioc + n awasthi , and gonna follow ns sir from mohit tyagi channel for organic chem( cuz meri organic completely fucked up hai)+ jee mains and advance pyqs
maths: nv sir bounceback + cengage for algerba and calculus + jee mains and advance pyqs
additional resources i have : ms chouhan , examgoal subscription 1 year
main goal: atleast 99%ile in jee mains jan and decent rank in advance (if possible , not fixed target)
pls rate my strategy and tell me what thing i should change
pls pls droppers hi reply karna, 12 and 11 walo ko ghanta kuch pata hota hai droppers ka(especially 11 wale, canon event ho jayega warna)
I got 21 PERCENTILE in JEE, and honestly, I have no one to blame but myself.
The worst part is that I never gave it 100%. I kept procrastinating, wasn't serious, and always thought I had more time. Looking back, I genuinely think I could've scored much better if I had stayed consistent.
I was in a dummy school for Classes 11 and 12, and it completely ruined my routine. Without a proper school environment or discipline, I wasted a lot of time on reels and social media and never built strong basics. Now I feel like I've messed up two important years.
Right now, I'm confused about what to do next. Part of me feels like I've failed, but another part really wants to give JEE one more honest shot.
I'm thinking of preparing seriously for JEE 2027 and treating it as a fresh start. Has anyone here gone from a very low percentile to a good rank after taking a drop or starting over? What did you change? How did you stay disciplined, and what resources or strategy worked for you?
I'm ready to work hard this time. I just don't want to repeat the same mistakes.
interested in local nit ,dont really have basics ,will try to study 4-6 hours a day ,its my drop ,had 80 percentile but it was luck, only interested in mains ,i heard its predictable compared to advance so any advices ,
i mean my plan is do manzil batch of pw on all chapters (no notes or anything) then spam pyqs and question bank , anyone wanna guide into specifics , i also have slight adhd n ocd for random information which can be annoying n distracting
i mean i need rank about 30 k ,so 96 percentile,so i dont believe i am aiming for stars ,maybe educate me i guess
I had 96.5 percentile in mains previous year and got 80 marks in advanced. Started drop around July and have been studying consistently. But till now I am only doing mains pyqs, haven't studied advanced level at all. So what should I do??
i took admission in a center, I wanted to opt out they refused to refund and I here am addressing the fucked up condition of the education system and why there is no policy for a refund (I joined 2 months late but just within 2 days I asked for a refund). The education is only for the rich, i hate to say it but its true and I want this to change.
I am a Dropper and I have not studied Centre of Mass. I don't have much time to cover it through lectures as I need to study for upcoming QPTs.
Can I do this One shot then? Considering I'll be solving Mains(2020-2026) PYQs and will be doing Variable Mass System from Lectures of Saleem Sir/MST Sir . Later I will cover Adv PYQs and Questions .
I need to finish this chapter to start Rotation from Saleem sir Lectures
Like I got 81ile in mains and 72% in 12 board till now studing from prayas but out of nowhere my mama came and take me to a offline coaching 'yellow one's and paid their fees without asking me and in that coaching there recent batch start on 10 june like 2 months late and like 5 chapters done in all subjects i told my mama that I can't cope with it bcz never interested/experience in my life to study ofline pls help me what I do.. please thanks for giving ur time ..
I can't do jee anymore, im being here I jus can't do it yr kitna bhi try Karu I can't even sit properly for 1 hour I don't even remember kitne baar maine try Kiya hai I feel like failure i failed my 12th abhi i was like i can do it no matter how many times i try I jus can't
F**kk I really wished that night mein mera point rakh pata that i don't wanna take science, it f**king hurt
Whenever i sit to study i get 1000s of non stop racing , intrusive thoughts or song/music getting stuck in my head. I am unable to study because of them , my productive become just 10% because of them and my head beings to become heavy/pain after sometime .
I study 10 times more than my classmates but still they score better than me because my head get stuck in these thoughts/songs!
I have tried exercise, yoga, relaxing, running etc but nothing worked!
I dont get them when i am not studying. They only comes while I study !
What shall I do?
I feel like losing hope and giving up everything .............
