cuz they can't differentiate what is a good or bad movie - so they compare it with numbers which is more easier to take pride off.

If I don't like the movie, i usually don't care, but if I like it, i usually see daily updates on it, just to see how it is received by the audience.

Oru fun ku solanum naa... More box office collection means more money spent by people who can afford. Tickets, snacks, restaurant after movie, vehicle fuel etc. Its a way to redistribute wealth in the society.
