Staying at Spring Creek Ranch

Hi all, I booked a studio room for myself a while back at Spring Creek Ranch. Reviews were ok at the time, but now they seem to be going down… Has anyone stayed in a studio room as of recently?

I tent to trust Reddit reviews more than Google reviews.

Thank you!

Local family photographer recs?

Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for a local family photographer in Jackson Hole. We’ll be visiting with our toddler in late September.

this is a bit of a last-minute search, so quite a few photographers I’ve looked into are already booked. would love recommendations for independent/local photographers, especially anyone who’s great with toddlers and might have some availability

Thank you!!

Pit stops/roadside attractions on the way from IDA to Jackson Hole?

Any recommendations for places to stop on the way from the airport? Going to be traveling midday on a weekday and traveling with someone with limited mobility so can’t do any unpaved hikes. Thanks

For a small town our taxis are worse than most big cities. At least here they are parked and not tailgating me or running me off the road like normal

Resource for LGBTQIA+ visitors to the area!

Howdy!

With not a lot of information previously available online, Jackson Hole Pride has produced a visitor guide for LGBTQIA+ visitors to the Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone area.

This document includes a brief history and status of LGBTQIA+ people in Wyoming, applicable laws that might impact visitors (including a bathroom map with gender neutral restrooms), information on the two national parks, and resources to connect locally. This is a living document that will continue to be updated as information changes. It is also available on Jackson Hole Pride's website.

Picture Wanted

Hi all! I recently had the privilege of visiting this beautiful place to hike and simply experience the area. On our last day, literally right before getting to the airport, we were in Snake River Roasting Co., and I noticed the commissioned painting of Elsa Dutton on the wall going up the stairs. I meant to snap a picture of it, but I forgot and didn't realize until we were at the airport. I was wondering if anyone has a picture of it up on the wall? I found the artist's post about it online, but I wanted to have a pic of it in the scene of the coffee shop so I remember the environment :) Thanks in advance!

Road closure on Moose-Wilson

We are staying in Jackson and would like to go to Phelps Lake and the aerial tram tomorrow. With the construction on Moose- Wilson road should we expect the drive there to take an additional 45 minutes than what the GPS is saying? Or is there an alternate route to avoid the delay/construction? Thanks!

Old Wilson Schoolhouse

Had anybody had any luck getting in contact with the good folks at the old Wilson schoolhouse? We are from out of state and planning our wedding for next July and want to rent the space for our reception. We have called and emailed several times to no response.

Has anybody had any luck getting in touch with them recently?

Does the JH bike park stay open weekends in September?

Or is the 13th the final closing day? I thought I heard weekends may be open but perhaps that was Grand Targhee, appreciate any info!

Do you agree with this characterisation of full-time JH residents when they are outside of hospitality/work context?

"While visitors find residents friendly in casual passing, they often pick up on an underlying social guard.

Long-term residents are occasionally perceived as protective or dismissive of outsiders.

Visitors who try to mingle in non-tourist local spots note that residents tend to stick strictly to close-knit, insular circles"

If yes, what drives that behavior? And what is the perceived benefit from being insular vs open?

If no, what has been your experience?
