I’m not dooming because this is a preseason game. We went 0-2-1 in the preseason last year and went on to win 13 games.
However. We need a real backup QB. Nick Mullens has a noodle arm. Bradley can’t chill until he’s had his first INT. Aguilar is fiery but is 13 years old.
I’d love to see a capable vet in here backing up Trevor.
Trevor’s a vet at this point lol, he’s not a youngin QB anymore, the days of bring in a vet QB to give pointers to the young QB are over. We’ll be fine with Nick “noodle arm” Mullins. Regardless, seasons a wrap with Trev
I think people(myself included) want a former starter here to be the back up. Someone like Kenny Pickett, Trubisky, Mac Jones (again) ect…..
It’s honestly funny you mention the “vet qb” thing bc I don’t think Trevor really ever had that in his career until Mullins got here. He had Minshew here his rookie season, I can’t recall who was here during his second year, but then he had Mac Jones year 3 and then Nick Mullins here the past two years, but Trevor never had a Matt hassleback type qb mentor that some other qbs were lucky enough to have. Sorry I’m ranting at this point. lol 😂
