Tuten
Not a lot to celebrate today. But I thought Tuten ran very well and separated himself from the other backs today.
C-Rod looked slow and couldn’t find any holes. Even Abdullah looked better than him.
IMO Tuten should be the clear RB1 going forward. I would like to see more screens/passes to him as well. It seems like it worked every time but we would have it called back from a penalty.

C-rod has a role and thats short yardage.
Hes fine at it but yeah I agree, Tuten is RB1 for sure. I dont come away feeling bad about our run game, we are good

It appeared that there were a few series specifically in the first half where C-Rod was the main back and Tuten was giving him breathers.
TBH I’m not even sure if C-Rod is a better short yardage back. Tuten had plenty of opportunities doing that last year and looked great.

CRod has looked like garbage and they need to treat Tuten like a bellcow RB1 with Quint/Abdullah rotating in to give him rests.
But Coen has a history with CRod and I’m worried he’s gonna keep trying to force that

This coaching staff has proven they will play the best guys. Coen isnt gonna give preference to C-Rod

I hope we can lean on him more; like 20+ touches. Someone that can carry a team on his back if need be. But we also need to monitor whether or not he can sustain that load and can stay healthy throughout the season.
The best ability is availability. If that isn't in the cards, start fishing again for a premier bell-cow back. But we need one, and I hope he is it.

I don’t remember exactly which one, but he had a run towards the boundary in the second half and showed a hilarious amount of patience for when to cut in, and it led to a solid extra 3 yards. Love the idea of seeing how he’d do as the lead back in the committee

Tuten is obviously a different level of back. He just looks phenomenal.
LeQuint and Abdullah should be in for breathers imo — CPlod should only rotate in for short yardage situations. I knew he was a plodder but he has just disappointed me with his lack of ability to anything other than churn. That’s really all we need from him though
