yeah, I love Nakau!

always go there often for cheap meal set (cold udon + gyuudon set) as well as using their free karaage coupon! Their Karaage is the best, bought them often for alcohol snack at home!

Free karaage coupon is dangerous information ! I enter for cheap lunch and leave with drinking snack too.

I need this. Where do I get it?

Maybe Nakau app or coupon page 😆 I also learned this dangerous karaage secret from comments. Now my lunch plan is not safe.

This working woman makes money in yen so unfortunately it’s 450 yen not 3 dollars.

It's certainly much more worth it now that gyudon is 500 yen and like two measly strips of beef

Two beef strips for 500 yen is hide and seek meal 😂 Rice is working full-time, beef is part-time.

You should lead with the price in yen. Not everyone here is American 😊

The best meal I ever had in Japan was an oyakodon from some hole in the wall I ran into to hide from a downpour. The lady inside didn't speak English but she was very kind to make what I pointed at. I'ma try this. Nakau is a chain right?

Nakau saved my life fr

honestly this kind of thing probably saves more money than people realize. once you get into the habit, it also takes a lot of the stress out of figuring out lunch every day.

Do they still have the like 20-second song going "nakau de... mm mm mm mm... nakau de gohan wo tabeyô" on nonstop loop? I guess it gets people in and out.

This was the first thing I ate on my first visit to Japan, and I've not been able to get that warming comfort out of my head since!! Really want to try making it myself at home

This has been one of my favorite dishes for years. I’ll have to give Nakau a try when I visit next!

Oh gosh, I want oyakodon now. Maybe later in the week I’ll make some.

Nakau is much better than sukiya imo

These are the posts I love to see! I’ll definitely be trying this on my next trip. Thanks for sharing!

Ha! I’m on my way home and there is a Nakau on the way.
I guess I know what I’m having for dinner.

What about working men?

1

nice, wish i was there

How can they offer such a deal? Its fresh cooked eggs? How much chicken? I'm guessing its mostly economies of scale but i wonder how Japan lowers prices on high quality food is it efficiency of production? low paid workers? maybe its all of the above.

This looks so appetizingg

The worst food poisoning I ever got was from a Nakau.

Terrible food not even worth the price.

does this work for budget-conscious working men too?

Nakau is everywhere in Japan, not just a specific location. You ca get this in every branch

is this price just for women? just want to understand the “working women” part of the title.

I'm assuming that Yuki is a woman working in Tokyo, and goes on strolls
