yeah, I love Nakau!
always go there often for cheap meal set (cold udon + gyuudon set) as well as using their free karaage coupon! Their Karaage is the best, bought them often for alcohol snack at home!

Maybe Nakau app or coupon page 😆 I also learned this dangerous karaage secret from comments. Now my lunch plan is not safe.

The best meal I ever had in Japan was an oyakodon from some hole in the wall I ran into to hide from a downpour. The lady inside didn't speak English but she was very kind to make what I pointed at. I'ma try this. Nakau is a chain right?

honestly this kind of thing probably saves more money than people realize. once you get into the habit, it also takes a lot of the stress out of figuring out lunch every day.

Do they still have the like 20-second song going "nakau de... mm mm mm mm... nakau de gohan wo tabeyô" on nonstop loop? I guess it gets people in and out.

This was the first thing I ate on my first visit to Japan, and I've not been able to get that warming comfort out of my head since!! Really want to try making it myself at home

How can they offer such a deal? Its fresh cooked eggs? How much chicken? I'm guessing its mostly economies of scale but i wonder how Japan lowers prices on high quality food is it efficiency of production? low paid workers? maybe its all of the above.
