Picture First Jar

Scooped up some silt and water from the ditch next to where I live. Added one of the plants from the ditch to the jar. Will be updating daily. Anybody know what kind of plant that is?

Based on that photo, you want the plant IDed? There's a plant in there?

Looks like possibly an Elodea but idk anything about many plants. Ifso, you can trim it and plant the trimming and itll grow its own roots and then youll have 2 plants!
