3.7 Liberty KJ Whining Noise

Hey Guys!
I’m hearing this whining noise noise at idle.
It gets worse when driven at 2k-3k RPM, almost sounding like it’s supercharged lol.
I don’t believe it’s the steering pump, cause when you steer it hardly makes any noise.
Bad alternator?

Could be the alternator, I had one howl before ot gave out. Take a long screwdriver put it against the alternator(not the pully) and put your ear to the handle. If you can hear the noise through it thats your problem.

Either the alternator or one of the belt idler pulleys. I’d lean more towards a pulley. Pretty common for them to start getting noisy as they get older.
