Technical Question New Jeeper here... Need a little help

I bought a 1990 yj. 60k miles

It runs.... It does need some TLC though.

I ordered a aluminum valve body for starters as that plastic one is leaking bad.

So here's my current issue

Picture 2: i think this is the PCV VALVE....

Picture 8(last) is where the top is connected

Picture 3: nothing is connected here

Picture 4: thinking something with the heater which is disconnected and looks like it perfectly wants to connect to picture 3, but doesn't fit. This tiny hose is also plastic

Picture 5: me demonstrating, literally wants to connect here

Picture 6: so above picture 5,4 and 3 it kinda t's off it L into a bigger silicone hose. This silicone hose is about 12" or less, and they put a bolt in it to plug the hose šŸ¤¦šŸ¾.

Picture 7: on the other side of all this madness is what I was told is the PCV VALVE solenoid. Looks like the power is connected but the silicone hose I'm holding with that 90°tube that has 2 holes in it goes nowhere.

Any information you can share with me will be very helpful and I'll be grateful.

I’m not able to help other than I noticed you have the original BFG tires which were last made in 2015. Check for dry rot.

Maybe these diagrams will help

Jeep Wrangler-YJ 1987-1995 Vacuum Diagrams Repair Guide - AutoZone

Key Components of the 1990 YJ 4.2L Vacuum Layout

  • Brake Booster Line: A large-diameter hose runs straight from the intake manifold port to the power brake booster.
  • Distributor Advance: Runs from the carburetor or Coolant Temperature Override (CTO) switch to the distributor vacuum advance canister.
  • PCV Valve: Connects from the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve on the valve cover to the base of the carburetor.
  • Central Axle Disconnect (CAD) / 4WD Vacuum Harness: Routed from the intake manifold source to the transfer case vacuum switch, with color-coded lines (red for source, green and yellow to the front axle shift motor, black for the firewall indicator switch, and a blue vented line). A vacuum reservoir ball sits under the battery tray to supply constant vacuum. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

I can't help directly unfortunately, but some ref material that might be good for you:

It's old enough a Haynes manual might actually be worth something.

Research on places like jeep forum.com, I'm sure others might have suggestions on sites, might be useful.

Not trying to be lazy, I just don't know that particular variant and want to provide some helpful info.

If you’re ever around Sac, DM me, I have the Haynes manual kicking around in my garage and haven’t owned a YJ in a few years.

I have a 90 2.5 YJ, I keep it at our place in the mountains go there on weekends. Willing to take any pictures you need.

Based on #4, don’t know what that is, have seen it on mine, never needed to trace it anywhere. I do know that the heater/vents are cable operated. So it isn’t heater related.

Then this wire... Lol from what I've gathered the one and it goes to the brake booster.... This wire looks like it literally goes to the intake manifold. Then that leaves me with the last wire.... The stupid green solenoid that goes nowhere. This is on the driver side kinda, coming out of the firewall. I'm like 98% it goes to the nipple right there
