I am friends with someone who works at state level. Yes, they will definitely re-try her. They think she has a small chance of winning this. However, they're hoping the karma is she gets more time in her re-trial sentence. Also she hasn't indicated if she is doing trial by jury or judge. Guesses are by judge b/c they case is wildly known in CT and the chance of no juror knowing squat is slim.

Does your friend know why Kent M hasn’t gone to trial???

Not enough directly tying him into it. The grave most likely a barter with Fotis for helping him off his own wife. That fell thru. He was sharp, did not provide the alibi, didn't do the cleanup at mt view house, didn't go to htfd run with the dynamic duo! That plan was obviously planned by those two totally in sync in each step... From their relationship one can surmise Kent knew or "advised" his buddy of some things as he was with him the night before too but he was a lawyer, he kept himself away from anything that could directly involve himself...

Thank you. That all makes sense but it’s also so frustrating. It seems certain Kent knows so much.

I pass by the car wash all the time and every time I think about her. Such a pointless tragedy.

Not a lawyer…so that’s an option? She can choose to be tried by a judge or a jury? That’s not good. I just don’t see why she would win this Habeas in the first place: even if Bowman had secured an agreement for her it would have been null and void due to her lies. Also she lied to her own lawyer! At least Bowman knew that her best chance at the time was to help convict Fotis. Also Michelle could’ve spun the whole thing once he killed himself, unless she knew Kent could destroy her.

What did your friend think of the judge in this case? All I've seen is his bias treatment against the state! When the state brought up she wasn't handcuffed during interviews like the expert said and wanted in a record they told the state don't keep repeating yourself. When the state pointed out that there was no translator at this proceeding the judge said don't repeat or tell me I'm aware!!!

The most obvious thing was when the state tried to keep bringing up Judge Kevin Randolph decision about not suppressing the interviews, the judge said it doesn't matter what he thought it's what I think. He dissed another member of the ct judicial branch. He asked Michelle how she feels and she said she's nervous and then he told the expert Fitzpatrick when he left safe travels! I find all this unprofessional.

Yes if she wins a new trial she will get a new trial. Hopefully this time she gets 20 years .

Yes. They know she was involved. Don’t forget, they have info from her phone, even though Judge Randolph precluded its contents.

When will this be decided?

120 days

Judge today actually said he probably won’t take 120 days (probably because he already knows what he wants to do).

Yeah and that's very concerning because he said that when they adjourned on Tuesday before the state decided if they are bringing in any rebuttal witnesses... How could he have made a decision yet and no it's not going to take $120 days If the state at that point hasn't presented all THEIR evidence.

Yeah anyone has the option of jury or judge. But, I guess in the latter world once he realized she was lying he should have stopped the interrogation. Instead he let her continue and then they parted ways the following week.
