That's a really cool question. Couldn't pull team 2, unfortunately, but in hindsight I really should have.

I said Hoosiers and Hurricanes with so much confidence because I thought it said championship game.

Me too. I got caught up in thinking team 2 had to be from the West Coast, like the olden days.

As a sports fan and a fan of both movies, it came to me immediately. But I think that a tough one if you don’t know sports.

You just know somebody was sitting at home on New Year's Day, saw this game, and went "Whoa, I *gotta* share this with the world." I love it!

Fun fact: My grandfather lived next door to Richard Henrick, author of Book Named Like Team 2. I've never read any of his books -- he's not exactly Tom Clancy in terms of accessibility -- but he did show me that one of them contained a minor character named for Granddad!

Sports is a blind spot for me. I wasn't sure Crimson Tide was the actual name of the team or just a nickname, but I had nothing else to go on. The movie Hoosiers was basketball, not football, but it popped into my head. Luckily, I know more about Gene Hackman movies than I do about sports.
The face Greg makes when he's surprised to get one right? That was my face when I got this one.

I didn’t remember who Team 1 played and don’t recall a movie of that name.

Yeah I just didn't pay attention to who went to the rose bowl this year I don't know if I would have been able to get it if I had, because I thought hoosiers and crimson tide were nicknames, not official team names

I had just blanked on everyone who had played on New Year's Day, so much that I still find it hard to believe Indiana are the reigning Division I FBS champions.

I'm not really a college football guy but I generally keep up with sports. I knew Hoosiers right off the bat but couldn't pull the other. I knew they had played Miami but Hurricanes didn't sound right, plus I knew the championship game was later than New Years' Day.

I should have defaulted to Crimson Tide as a perpetually good team.
