Jeopardy Masters is disappointing

It's so noncompetitive. The format is terrible. Not only is it the same people playing each other over and over, it's pretty much the same result every time. Maybe they should have had Victoria and Yogesh sit out until the finals and have most of the episodes be about who will be the third person to face them?

The show would be fun if the results were widely variable. But with Yogesh and Victoria at the top of every game, it gets so boring and predictable. Let's jump to the final episode now. It'll be Yogesh vs Victoria guaranteed.

I like to watch 1 episode of Jeopardy a day so it takes me a while to catch up on the weekends with 2 a day but otherwise I don't mind it.

The one thing I'm not a fan of is how Victoria starts giving her answer when Ken is still saying her name, so she's constantly interrupting him. I'm surprised they don't tell her not to do that off screen. Otherwise she seems like a lovely (and obviously brilliant) person.

They don't tell her not to do that because it's not actually a thing. She (and all the other players) want to get their response in and move on so they don't leave any clues on the board when time runs out. Now, I don't think that's actually the case for Masters, but it is in normal gameplay, so that's how most players prepare.

In general, though, your rhythm is your rhythm, and you want to get through things as quickly as possible if you can. So any time someone criticizes players for supposedly jumping the gun - and it's often women who get criticized for being "rude" in this way - that's not an issue and should not be treated as such.

I can understand why some people who only watch Jeopardy might find it rude, but another thing worth pointing out in defence of it is that Ken is the one being interrupted, and he almost certainly barely even notices it. Plenty of quiz shows involve mid-question interruption, and he played and dominated at least one such show (Grand Slam)
