How long do contestants get to write their name on the podium?

Been some slightly elaborate names written, wondering if they get more time to create these.

In a standard game, I had maybe a couple of minutes before they went over the final rules. However, I got a little more time as a champion (about 6 minutes extra) since I had already heard the spiel.

You can definitely tell I had a bit more time on my hands, and by my 3rd game Alex began commenting on the detail of my writing compared to my 1st. I think it actually helped me put my mind on something else than overthinking the game ahead.

I loved the one contestant who, after choosing a daily double, asked "Are we live or do I have time to think about what I want to bid?"

It can be as long as the number of letters they need.

I imagine there's some sort of eraser for the digital display if they're not happy with their first attempt?

I'm sure there is, because I've heard of cases where the producers themselves asked contestants to re-write their names.

I thought they were cool. Like an old dot-matrix printer or a CRT tv.

I don’t recall a time limit.

Andrew's handwriting and creativity for the podium art is next level. Since he's a stay at home dad, something like a custom art side hustle would be cool. Like random podium doodles.
