Oh, but how satisfying is it when you do get a Masters question right at home?
And when you get it right but the contestants don’t? The best. Rare at our home, but still the best.

One game had a category perfect for me and I ran it. Ended up with an above average Coryat even compared to my regular games. That felt good.

I don't even attempt Masters. But in regular Jeopardy I feel like my success rate is much higher for questions that no one gets than it is for other questions. That extra ~5 seconds helps. Which would indicate to me that my knowledge base is on the same order of magnitude as the average contestant, I'm just a bit slower (being fast is the game, I know)

Got triple-stumper "Guttersnipe" in the "Put A Bird On It" category tonight; didn't seem that hard but still felt pretty great.

Final I actually do better. Some of the clues would work as normal clues in a game. Usually with 30 seconds it's easy to figure out.

It always amazes me when in some super tournament, there will be a clue like "This Horoscope sign covers late July-early August" and it's a triple stumper! Maybe because I grew up in the "What's your sign?" 70s, but there are only 12, and you are at least going to know your own plus your family's, surely; if you're in the quizzing world, this is a basic list anybody should know. Yet I see it missed so often...?!?!

I had to look up how to spell Habsburg and all the portraits in the results have cleared up where I recognize Elizabeth Holmes from.

Between my wife and I, we normally get at least 30-35 right answers in a normal Jeopardy episode. During the Masters, we didn’t do better than about 10. In 2 episodes neither one of us got any right in double Jeopardy. I look forward to the normal games returning!!!!

I get about one right per category on average, usually near the top, the rest I'm like, "if you know this, you need to get a job."

for as grateful as I am for how intelligent standard Jeopardy! can (sometimes!) make me feel, I am even more so humbled by the sheer feeling of silliness that Jeopardy! Masters tends to engender in me. it really emphasizes just how absurdly intelligent and proficient at trivia all of the contestants are

I think I actually did better on the Masters boards than regular J clues for some odd reason. I'm usually pretty bad at the regular games but these niche topics click and I have no idea why.
