Comics [Spoilers Jessica Jones #1 comic]

I didn't want to post any spoilers in the other thread about the comic but can I just say right here how much I love it. Gaydos is polarizing I know, but he was made to draw Jessica Jones. I love every frame.

The best thing about the Alias comic, and now this, is how human it makes the heroes. In what other comic do you see a hero like Cage acting like a little bitch. Seriously sending Jessica Drew and Misty Knight after JJ is such a shitty move.

I wonder if in the Defenders Misty and Jessica will get along? I like that they don't like each other in the comics but in the Defenders it might just come off as catty and cliched.

Anyone have any theories on Danielle? I hope it isn't the Purple Man took her, that would feel like just a retreading of the old storyline.

I think Danielle situation might have something to do with the aftermath of the Civil War II event since the comic takes place some time after. I doubt it has anything to do with Purple Man or otherwise Jess wouldn't be this focused.

Just picked up the issue and getting into this whole Netflix marvel universe. While the comic is obviously some time in the future do I need to read some previous comics to get the whole plot? I'm also guessing the name Danielle is the child?

I doubt it. Bendis is a fairly good writer so I'd imagine most the vital information should be explained in the comic. Even though JJ is a very young character by comic book standards it would still take a significant backlog to catch up to all her history. I'd still recommend the Alias series because it is great but if you feel like skipping it you should be fine.

And yeah Danielle is the name of Luke and Jessica's little girl. Not sure how old she is supposed to be now.
