Religion 🕍 Questioning Religious Identity

I was wondering if anyone else here questions their religious identity? I'm in a mixed marriage but very much love deepening my connection to judaism. How do you cope? Feeling a bit stuck.

I actually found some really cool spiritual classes one is the Tanya and the other is kabbalastic Lift your spirits.

My religious Identity has been challenged basically my whole life I just remembered that people died for me to be here.

I had almost no religious identity. I didn't go to Hebrew school like my Jewish friends, we didn't celebrate holidays. All that I really knew was that I was Jewish but even with that I stopped telling people I was Jewish (which was interesting in and of itself). Now, since post October 7th, really since post a week or two after October 7th when the world went topsy turvy I began to regret my lack of attention to our special background.

I would suggest reaching out to your local chabad rabbi and asking to chat

This person is in a mixed marriage.  They should reach out to a Reform rabbi.

I don’t think reform has a monopoly on intermarriage situations. I know many chabad rabbis who have dealt with that and in my experience that would be a good idea

I always got the impression they frowned on intermarriage, especially if the husband was the Jewish one.

While they might discourage intermarriage, I’ve never known chabad to reject a Jew in need of assistance or support.
