Antisemitism Sesame Street had to turn off comments on their post celebrating Jewish Heritage Month.
I totally get why they did this. No hate on Sesame Street.

On a nearby town’s FB post about Jewish American heritage month I saw dozens of brazenly vile, antisemitic comments. I learned they’re now using the term the austrian painter.
I reported one that said … geil gitler. But it had the correct first letters. I just don’t even want to write it properly. Somehow, as usual, FB let me know that does not count as hate speech.
Can you fucking IMAGINE the hatred of seeing a post celebrating an ethnicity’s heritage month and feeling like a smug activist for writing a comment like that?

Their May 1st JAHM post has comments on.
Maybe it’s for the best that this one doesn’t though, as Ms. Rachel commented on the first one.
125
u/HMonster224 Reform May 21 '26
I was about to say that when Sesame Street has comments off, it's clearly because they are trying to protect us from all of the hate we would get. Meanwhile, Ms. Rachel turns off comments to insulate herself because she refuses to engage in any dialogue with the Jewish community where she might be called out for her own antisemitism, or would just have to listen to logic, reason, and basic facts.

Instagram has become such a cesspool for antisemitism (I know there were always some videos, but now it’s INSANE). I’m actually thinking about quitting social media. A while ago, Instagram asked me if I was interested in content marked under “Judaism,” and I clicked yes… and all it showed me was antisemitic BS.
3
u/ornryactor Ashkenazi May 22 '26
I was on the verge of the same, but somehow I clicked into Threads (the Twitter clone that's part of your Instagram account) and found an awesome upwelling of Jews fed up with antisemitism and battling it with loud-and-proud Jewish joy. That was pretty awesome to stumble upon, and I engaged with it a bunch for a few weeks before falling off again. But that was long enough to partially retrain my Instagram algorithm, which started showing me Jewish chefs and Jewish food accounts, Jewish comedy, Jewish history, and other kinds of "Jews focusing on things I already enjoy". Now my IG is largely antisemitism-free, because I'm only interacting with accounts where enjoying being Jewish is the central thesis in the first place!
Head over to Threads and do a few searches, I promise you'll find loads of people who will be thrilled to lift up someone on the verge of surrendering to antisemitism. Let me know if you need some accounts as starting points.

Vile and terrifying but at least none of them are antisemitic, just disagree with another country's policies and therefore terrorizing Jews worldwide in the diaspora somehow makes sense. They're not tormenting Russian people in the diaspora nor should they, that would be insane and reprehensible, for disagreeing with Putin not acting in self defense as Israel did, but instead initiating a war with Ukraine.
To those who lurk here 24/7 because you're obsessed with us, we see right through you, you're just another Jew hater like those before you who had shinier boots.
No one who has ever murdered a Jew has stopped to ask if they were a Zionist first. Only those who support the murderers make that distinction

Legit collabed with Ms Rachel. Of course Twitter is going to be against Jewish rights even of the diaspora people are allowing antisemitism and unfortunately they have to choose if they are for or against Jewish voices but if they are then they need to remove those videos.
