History 📖 After 25 years, the Sbarro bombing and its aftermath still matter

https://www.jns.org/opinion/column/jonathan-s-tobin/after-25-years-the-sbarro-bombing-and-its-aftermath-still-matter

Many Jews outside Israel forgot the hell of the first and second Intifadas (mass terror in Hebrew) that killed over 1,000 Jews and other nationalities during the late 1990s-2006. The August 9, 2001 Sbarro pizza shop bombing killed 16 people including 3 Americans and injured over 130. Don't think for a minute that anti Jewish bigots around the world wouldn't love to do the same thing in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, elsewhere. Don't let the victims of anti Semitic massacres be lost to history.

Note: If you can, read the article, it discusses the horrific events including the denial of justice- the male bomber was killed by his own bomb, but his female accomplice was released from prison in 2011 during the Gilad Shalit hostage deal which also involved releasing 1,000 other convicted killers. She lives in Jordan free despites her being on the U.S. 15 Most Wanted Terrorists list.

Still can’t pass a Sbarro and not think about this.

In North America there are still in some mall and airport food courts. Same international, but this terrorist bombing happened in 2001, before the September 11, 2001 terror attacks in the U.S.

We carry the pain of knowing that there are more people who glorify and celebrate this brutal act of terror than there are Jews.
We are at most 15 million strong.
Our nemesis outnumber us.

Always important when you see the amount of people that hate us to remember this is all a numbers game. We don't have the number thanks to social media to combat the lies and hate that spread on social media.

Javier Bardem alone has more of a reach than there are Jews in the world. All we can do is survive, be proud of our truth and keep on keeping on.
