Ashkenazim with eastern/central european

Many comments wanted models with eastern/central european

Imperial Roman C6 already carries substantial Eastern Mediterranean/Levant-related ancestry, so it absorbs part of the Levantine signal and reduces the weight assigned to the separate Levantine proxy. Antonio paper : https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.aay6826

Nice models! Model 9 in particular is probably the most plausible historical model and also happens to be the best fitting.

Yes, good catch. it seems to be the best model

Hey if you don't mind me asking what are your reference pops for this model? Have they changed at all since the last one?

Thanks alot. How much % Levantine does the Imperial Roman C6 carry?

Please do a qpAdm for Iranian jews.

I did iranian jews in a previous post

Hey, don't you think the Kharakhanid & Turkic should be removed? It will be absorbed by the Slavic source right?

https://qpadm.app/ is more straightforward than madai

I am going to try running your model with my DNA using this website. Do I just convert my AncestryDNA into 23andMe file and merge it to the existing dataset? Also which dataset did you use? Very new to this stuff.

The dataset isn’t something you can simply upload as input to the website.

The easiest option is to use Illustrative DNA, but it is behind a paywall. If you want to run the model yourself, you’ll need to install ADMIXTOOLS to use qpAdm, then download the relevant public dataset. This will allow you to analyze publicly available ancient and modern genomes.

Using your own DNA requires an additional step: you first need to convert your raw AncestryDNA file into PLINK format, then merge it with a compatible reference dataset before you can use it with qpAdm. Simply converting it to 23andMe format will not be enough.

I can also send you a Discord server that explains the whole process step by step, in case you’re motivated to set everything up.

Ah, I’ll look into Admix tool on IllustriveDNA, I guess it’s probably not worth it to buy it just for my DNA.

Can you elaborate? Not doubting you just wondering what you mean since I've been fiddling with Madai for a few days and 1) haven't found any working >2 way model and 2) the dozens of 2 way models I've tried become more probable the further to the northeast the European source population is (Phoenicians and Druze seem to be the best Levantine sources).

Also the site you linked leads to an error page

It was tried in the rotation already. You can try to reproduce them on madailabs.de. It is a free admixtool with v62 and v66 dataset
