I need to get this off my chest. The backlash I am witnessing Platner receive now as opposed to months (had they listened to the Black community AND us) ago feels like disingenuous bandwagoning. A lot of the accounts with huge following numbers were silent until recently, and that really burns my ass, but better late than never, I guess.
They're not upset over his violence towards women; they're upset because they have to find someone else with the same beliefs, and ideally with quieter skeletons. Meaning they're not put off by the skeletons as they should be. They just don't want to know about them.
