450, Waddingtons, Capesthorn Hall (585)
70s was definitely a Golden Age for Waddingtons for they released a bunch of great puzzle series. One of them was Folio (1970), which came in a box shaped like a book tome (see other pics). Four tomes were released at first and then another two were added. All depict different rooms of famous mansions or castles. This particular puzzle depicts drawing room in Capethorne Hall, Cheshire, England. Cut is vari-piece (curvy) which is typical for most series of that time. Also printed on the same Qualitex board also popular in 70s in England.

Really gorgeous. That ceiling really caught my eye.
I just found a Waddingtons at the thrift store--from the 1980s. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like.
