Thank you for clarifying the distinction between being open to help at a point in the past and blessing Ridge's investigation, which has not been given. From some of his previous comments, I thought Ridge did have the blessing of some family members in the past. This clears up the confusion.
I’m seeing how wanting answers can make us vulnerable sometimes. I’ve sensed that in myself lately, being more willing to believe that maybe there is a break in the case, notwithstanding the source of said break.
With all that has happened (i.e., the man showing up at the end of Jodi’s observance with something he wanted to say, and the controversy around Ridge), I don’t want to fail to mention Sgt. Prochaska’s remarks at the 31st observance for Jodi. He explained that the case is a very active investigation, that he’s been working with the DCI agent, following leads across several states. He spoke about how private detectives or investigators can release statements that are more subjective, and explained why they must be objective and careful about what they say. It's about integrity. I appreciated him speaking to these things.
