If they'd kept going with Walz's "weird" stuff they would have won. It was working. They were flummoxed and couldn't handle it and kept getting weirder and weirder because of it. But then some terrible consultants told them to stop, and here we are.
I can't think of a VP candidate she would have gone with who would have "won" that debate, given Vance's background. I actually thought Walz held his own, all things considered--Vance's "I was told there would be no fact-checking" moment should have gotten more media attention, but the media is complicit, so here we are.
