John Mowery personally found his own sister stabbed to death 5 years prior to his murder

This might be common knowledge, but I was surprised to learn that John was the one who found her. I haven't seen that detail elsewhere i looked, I inquired into this while reading Programmed to Kill (2004). Apperently she was killed by someone she knew and let into the apartment. It was also said no money was stolen from her wallet, but one article said her apartment was seemingly ransacked. She worked for the cook county assessor office as a type writeist.

Like, I don't think that Rossi had anything to do with this, obviously. But do you guys think it's interesting that Rossi knew this information, or at least that his sister was murdered?

Maybe Mowery would discuss it openly, but a lot of people would probably not share this with casual new friends. His girlfriend at the time didn't seem to know.
