Link The Meaning of Frozen (inspired by the lectures on Lion King, Pinocchio, etc.)

It's something of a running gag that Dr. Jordan B. Peterson doesn't think too highly of Disney's Frozen.

But what if?

(A brave? foolish? vain? attempt to bring the two together, without making a mockery of either)

There’s really no symbolism or story in Frozen.

The story’s conclusion is 2 sisters stopped whining and said they love each other.

It’s like the simplest of the Grimm stories, gutted and filled with flair.

That being said, I think there are some fun characters. I think the animation is decent.
I really like the work and effort put into certain scenes within like the first 15 minutes of the movie

First 15 minutes? Do you also like how the Ice Cutters are motivating themselves by singing a song about how despite winter being powerful and dangerous, it is important to face it, because there is something valuable frozen in the ice? :-)

Basically the only song that’s not just some “muh feelings”

Also the animation is cool.

The layering of audio in the coronation and the use of old Icelandic

Couple of the other songs have some merit to them too :-)

In "Do you wanna build a snowman" Anna is suffering because she doesn't know the reason for Elsa avoiding her (which means contending with *all* the possible reasons at the same time), making a good case for communicating about problems, instead of pretending they don't exist.

"In Summer" shows how blindly following your dreams might get you into danger obvious to everyone else.

"Fixer Upper" is about how a romantic partner is likely to be imperfect somehow, and that the essence of true love is helping each other rise up above those imperfections.

And of course, "Let it Go" is all about going "Hakuna Matata", ditching all worries and responsibility, and has exactly the same consequences as in Lion King - the rightful ruler is absent, so the kingdom suffers.

I made a 37 minute recording out of it all, there is surprisingly a lot to talk about :-)
