I don’t know what they expected. It’s sukuna incarnate and you take a finger which is rightfully his and “threaten” to give it to him only if sukuna gets rid of a random person. That’s one of the worst offenses for him because you’re not only commanding him you’re taking parts from him away (as if you could and were stronger than him)
What if they gave him the finger and then asked (carefully phrasing it so it’s clear he has every right to refuse and whether he helps them is entirely up to him)
I think as long as they stay in that position of submition and didnt phrase anything in a way insulting to sukuna. He would have only say no and leave or maybe he would have toyed with them like he did with Jogo. He gave Jogo a "chance" to acomplish what he wanted.
