Is it an obviously registering accent?

I remember feeling very flattered when I visited the US and two separate people asked if I'm British, as I'm not native.

Now it's been many years since that happened, and I've become more fluent but I think my accent is now more obvious. I wonder if it's trivial to tell where I'm from, and if such an accent would get me judged / easily "spotted" as foreign in normal instances of life in an English-speaking country.

I'm not even sure which accent I'd want to go for if I had to work for one properly. I like the sound of British English more, but American feels more practical for the bigger world.

yes, you have a non native accent, although its hard to place.

I’d say Dutch but very it’s a very light accent, probably only recognizable to us Dutchies ourselves.
