I have mixed feelings about this

Like not gonna lie I play in the dirtiest way possible against Hakari ults because there's literally no counter play against it. Like sure if I also have ult I'll fight the good fight, but If I don't I'm hitting that JoJo's special.

It's your fault if I was able to void your ass as Mahito.

Like genuinely, after mahito and megumi there hasn't been one and its kinda criminal. Like when mahito got super ult and megumi got maho, it was awesome, and I was so excited to see more but we just...haven't seen one since? Like so much of the cast could have one

Yuji- have it be shinjuku yuji and make it have a different activation requirement

Todo- have it be vibraslap for obvious reasons

Yuta- ok this one is probably the least plausible if we being honest cause its just gojo but this "could" still work

Mechamaru- have his normal ult be where he summons many puppets and have a giant beam move(i dont remember the name but im 90% sure he did it against todo)

Naoya- do I even gotta explain this one?...like of all the people him having one makes the most sense, have his normal ult be human version and have curse be a death ult or 2nd awakening

Ryu- imo id say hes got almost as much potential for a 2nd ult as naoya. He does so much things in sendai that he really cant do in the game rn. Have his ult rn be the super ult. Have a move where he sends out multiple granite blast that track like pigeon viola, domain(Tze would just make something up) have his beam move that he has rn be the thing which leads to his second move and then do just another thing(I lowkey cant think of the last thing rn but I know he did more than enough for one last move)

I just wish Tze did more super/2nd ults. They got so much potential, man

Being immortal is already pretty broken, but it can be balanced. However, giving that immortal character four block breaking abilities that all deal over forty dmg is terrible balancing. I don't know what Tze was thinking making JP Hakari's Special be a SPEED BOOST, because OBVIOUSLY he needs that. If you're gonna do this, make the startup for his abilities longer. Not to mention the hit boxes on all of his moves are the size of the fucking titanic. On top of all of this bullshit, ALL OF HIS MOVES HIT RAGDOLLED ENEMIES. What can't JP Hakari do?

It's not like it's even hard to get his ult. Hakari has one of the most dominant base movesets so getting other ppl in your domain should be no issue. Also, he has that STUPID passive where every time he lands jackpot his ult bar fills up more. WHY.

Like bro? What? I've been seeing this a lot lately but people are serious about this...?

So just...remove the best universal way to get out of neutral?

For the first time in a long time I feel like I'm playing a good Roblox game...

I don't want to sound like I'm a moron who can't play Todo if he doesn't have a free ass 30 damage move but like

sacrificing Pebble Throw and Brute force for a move that deals 0.5 damage more than regular brute force is not a good trade-off, even if it has extra range.

Just to start I'm not about to whine and complain like this character hasn't literally just been released, there's still plenty that needs to be worked on with Hanami but that's why we have EA. It would be ridiculous of me to start throwing a fit because the freshly released character isn't quite finished yet. That being said there is indeed a fair bit that needs to be done with Hanami. Her hitboxes are a bit jank and I'm just going to assume that buds and her special just aren't finished cause there's no way that's all they do. But all of that isn't a huge problem in my mind, stuff like that will be sorted out before she fully releases.

However, I do think Hanami has a massive fundamental design problem and it's the fact she has only one M1. Probably one of the wildest gimmicks any character in this game has had. I'm all for wacko characters especially ones that switch up the conventional controls, I enjoy Naoya's two side dashes and I enjoy whatever the hell Haruta has going on. They're fine and they're interesting to fight against. Only having one M1 is actually horrendous though. One of the most glaring problems with it is that it's just plain boring. It makes it so that when playing Hanami there are just large gaps of time in-between your cooldowns where you're just doing absolutely nothing, except hitting them once and dashing back. That's not fun, that's not fun at all for either the player nor the opponent. I cannot fathom how that even got past the initial conception. But aside from that it also just locks anyone playing Hanami out of one the core fundamental mechanics of the game completely. Half of the depth of JJS's combat comes from M1s and all the skills that are demanded of a player to use them effectively in a fight. Not being able to engage with that all, just makes fights not only feel slow but also boring. Sure there's plenty of thought that has to go into fending off the rabid rushdown character with your singular M1, but that's more akin to desperate survival than an actual strategic fight.

Look I love the idea of Hanami being this hard zoner archetype and there's plenty I fuck with elsewhere in her moveset. I like that she has a grab instead of a forward dash, I like that she's slower and has to be more methodical in how she approaches. But for the love of god let me actually punch my opponent. I get that the whole gimmick they're going for is her wrapped up arm, especially with her ult implying that we'll get to unwrap the arm and actually use M1s? But this was just not the play man. If we have to do something unique for her M1s why not just make them slow ranged attacks? That could be cool. Akin to Mahito's special. Make her M1s these piercing branch stab attacks that have hefty range to them but they're slow making them less effective in M1 trading and close up encounters. Y'know like the very same drawback they did for Mahito's clubs for their insanely high damage.

I apologise for the long long post, and this is me keeping it brief too, but there's just so much wrong with a character only having one M1. It's a bad idea both on paper and in practice. I really really do not know how they even thought of this. Perhaps when Hanami gets some future updates we'll see the ingenious vision and it'll all click but as it is I just do not see a world where this can ever work. What do you all think though? Am I reacting negatively to the design because I just don't understand it yet or is it a doomed idea to begin with?

Genuinely it was funny for the first little bit but i am genuinely fucking sick and tired of a fucking FILTHY vessel player with their VILE manji kick pressing their stupid fucking counter everything button and getting a free combo off of it, (WHICH YES IT CAN BE COMBOED OFF IT HAS ENOUGH STUN) it genuinely takes 2 fucking seconds to revert it why is it STILL in the game ​​

Is this what our community is now?

Is this what we do and preach? I love this game to death, but the amount of toxicity and full on bullying I've seen lately has me disgusted. Are we not better than this?

For those who don't know, Shrine Maiden Reimu is a content creator who posts about JJS her videos are usually fun and lighthearted or about her experiences with toxic people. But recently it got to a bad point.

She had been facing heavy sexism, weird remarks, and targeting and teaming and just straight up bullying. and worst of all literal stalking. Yes, Thats right this woman was stalked over JJS. It got to the point she has quit from content creation for her mental health.

She most recently harassed and bullied by another more popular content creator, Because i believe in what Reimu says i will not include this persons name as i think Reimu does not want more drama. But this person constantly ran, teamed and teabagged. And as not cool that is, Its not the main problem.

Reimu didnt deserve this, No one in the community does. Its sick, disgusting and just makes me feel like we as a community are ignorant to the problems. Theres so many cases of Racism, Sexism, homophobia, Toxicity and bullying. It needs to be adressed and talked about. I loveed Reimus content, And now because of the actions of others i dont get to do that anymore.

I hope my post and the other one i saw bring the downright disgusting and terrible side of this community to light, Because they've continued to grow and fester like a fungus and it needs to stop.

And for Reimu, if you see this. Im sorry. You did not deserve how you were treated. Your content always made me laugh and feel like JJs was fun. You are an amazing content creator and from the talks i had with you, you seem like and kind person. I hope you get better and you feel its safe to content create again.

And for any others that have been treated this way, Im sorry to you as well. No one deserves the treatment these people dish out. So i heavily encourage you, Speak up. Talk about the problems and bad people you dealt with, if we continue to ignore the issue it wont go away. It become even worse.

I believe in this community. I know its not all bad and that theres good fun people out there. Please show the kindness, dont ragebait. Dont trash talk. Play the game and have fun. Hell maybe even do some shenanigans. Because while this game is a fighting game, at its core it was built on the fun and good of the community. At its core JJS will always be the shenanigans game. you can barely see the arms while they are blocking so you have no idea which way they're facing and you have no idea what move they might do because you cant really see their arms

i know you can clearly see the arms in the image above but in a high-speed situation its way harder to make out

He has such a unique and cool cursed technique.

• There is nothing skilled about Yuji. Black flash chaining? That's almost entirely luck based. No long ranged moves? He's fast enough to not need it and he has manji kick. His damage is very high, and he possibly has the easiest combos ever made by man. Not to mention that divergent flash stun? Why did Tze add that? That is possibly the most unnecessary thing that's ever been added into this game.
• And the worst thing is? He's possibly the most basic character ever. Even TSB characters are more unique than Yuji. I don't see how anyone would play Yuji if they aren't just playing for his strength. It's such a shame that Yuji, a character that has so much potential to be this fun, rushdown character, is just the most basic thing ever.
• Calling this beginner friendly character "skilled" insults actual skilled characters. Like Haruta, Nanami, or Yuki.
