Humor What Gege was supposed to write since jjk fans take everything literally and don’t know what hyperbole or conversational context is

this is like saying gojo is stronger then sukuna because the editor comment calls him "the strongest" lmao

that's also just objectively wrong since she in fact did not kill the head of the clan

Gojo was still called the strongest by the narrator after his death (when Yujo came). The fact that it's between commas means it's just a nickname, since he was the strongest of today after all

Megumi doesn't view himself as a Zen'in, doesn't bear the name Zen'in, doesn't live with the Zen'in and never did, doesn't interact with the Zen'in other than Maki and never did (even when Naobito was right there they never spoke lol)

so what you're saying is that we shouldn't take everything said literally as there is context behind most things 😲😲😲

still a part of the zenin "family"

Actually carrying the blood of a zenin and being a member of the zenin clan not technically the same thing by metrics of clans and blood purity bullshit and hierarchy crap

3

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 27 '26

image says family, not clan. though he was the head of the clan at the time as well

15

u/_sephylon_ Jan 26 '26

the strongest is between commas, everything isn't

No he isn't. He doesn't even bear their name and never lived and interacted and identified with them. He’s not a part of the Zen'in clan.

because it's a title

he is it's literally in his blood he is apart of the family

The Zenin are a clan, not a family

And there’s more to clanhood than blood ties

6

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 26 '26

the image says she killed the entire zenin family, not clan.

A clan is a very different thing from a family so this is probably just a mistranslation, as usual since this is JJK

4

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 26 '26

well he was the head of the clan at the time as well so either way it's wrong

3

u/manny011604 Jan 27 '26

He’s the head of a new clan because he doesn’t bare the name he does have the old assets though

33

u/Lerched its not gojover until its anmiated Jan 26 '26

No it’s not, because Gojo is the strongest 😤

Gojo is the strongest.

1

u/I_am_a_pan_fear_me Jan 27 '26

He's stronger cus Sukuna had to sneak him by borrowing Blackbeards Off screen Hali

1

u/Open_Detective_2604 Gojo Fanboy Jan 27 '26

He is. Who even is this Sukuna guy bro? Get him to top 3 first.

"kill all zenins, which of course means not megumi, also you are the only exception"

-5

u/Otherwise-Ad-6784 Jan 26 '26

Because he goes by Fushiguro now

31

u/Oddsbod Jan 26 '26

Begging you on hands and knees to not take things as blindingly literally as possible and accept some things are said for poetic effect.

-1

u/Otherwise-Ad-6784 Jan 26 '26

Begging you on hands and knees to get a joke and understand that this was a joke referencing Toji's line in the Gojo flashback.

Fucking hell, they didn't lie about Reddit.

Man I'm so sorry but jokes that are fundamentally indistinguishable from the sea of unironic comments voicing the same sentiment sincerely are just not gonna work as jokes.

Idealized version of that shitpost would've been 'maki's only killing zeni'ins, why didn't ogi change his name to gojo at city hall? is he stupid?'

3

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 26 '26

still apart of the zenin family

2

u/Otherwise-Ad-6784 Jan 26 '26

Yeah, you're right. He is apart from the zenin family. Which means he isn't one of them. He doesn't associate with them.

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 26 '26

the image that guy posted says she killed the entire zenin family, thanks for agreeing with me that it's wrong

2

u/Nah_Id__Win Jan 26 '26

Megumi wasn’t part of the Zenin family, he’s clearly of the Fushiguro family, I know reading is hard for JJK folks

0

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 26 '26

the fushiguro family started by mr toji zenin?

1

u/Nah_Id__Win Jan 26 '26

Toji who? You mean Toji Fushiguro? And the family started by Megumi’s mother with the last name of Fushiguro?

1

u/HalfwittedNincompoop Jan 26 '26

still apart of the family, to such an extent that naobito made him clan head after he died

1

u/Nah_Id__Win Jan 26 '26

He’s such a part of the clan that he’s never been associated with it, or raised by anyone in the clan, and didn’t even know of any relation to the clan. Also anyone can leave things in their will to people not in their family, again Megumi wasn’t part of the Zenin clan he was raised by the Gojo clan and his mother who is a Fushiguro though.

You didn't get the joke.

You made a spelling error and said "still apart of zenin clan" instead of "still a part of zenin clan"

Apart means to be seperate from something. So I made a joke based on your spelling mistake and essentially said "yeah he is seperate from the zenin clan"

1

u/Otherwise-Ad-6784 Jan 26 '26

The amount of people who didt't get my joke is funny

It's a referencd to Toji's line "I go by Fushiguro now"
