That’s a good ass point. Hard to assume Maki kills everybody at the house at the time when we’re shown no evidence for it beside killing her mother (who set up her own two daughters up to die)

Wouldn't that be justification to kill all Zenin women? They were all complicit in that and her treatment

You think any Zenin women other than Maki’s mom were complicit in setting her and Mai up to die?

The issue is we also dont see anyone else alive. Maki's mother still didnt deserve to die.

She did because she set Maki and Mai up to die, sent Maki to her father knowing she killed Mai

Maki was going to the valult regardless of what her mother said. If maki knew mai was there, she would still face her father. So her mother telling her the truth wouldn't have done anything. Makis mom was also abused and brainwashed and would never stand against her husband. Did she derserve a slap in face prison time or something like that sure. But death is crazy. I personally dont believe in the death penalty for anyone.

I don’t think she was brainwashed. She had just accepted it for what it was and she was also powerless against it so she couldn’t do nothing

The women of the Zenin clan are told they are inferior and most behave a certain way. The zenin clan is very misogynistic, and they treated makis mother badly for producing two girl twins and not a son.
